Complete My Album
“You only purchased a few tracks from John Mayer’s “Continuum.” Then couldn’t stop listening to them.
Now you want to get the rest of the songs — and the bonus material you can only get when you purchase the album — without having to pay for the singles you already purchased. Is that possible?
You bet: Thanks to “Complete My Album,” a new iTunes service, you can get a credit for each single you previously purchased when you opt to complete the album within 180 days of the original download. In fact, you have until June 26 to take advantage of this new service to complete any album in your iTunes collection for which you previously purchased one or more singles from the iTunes Store. That goes for singles you received as gifts, too.”
What a great addition to the iTunes Store. This is the most logical approach to drawing people in by selling singles. I’ve always been opposed to repurchasing tracks to get the discount on a full album. Now, Apple has eliminated that problem.
